Christmas story by Panagiota Karagianni Neon Douros Aegina D1

On Christmas day, a lot of people all over the world were very excited because they were going to have more time with their relatives. But some people, like Georgia, who didn’t have any parents and were spending those jolly days in a hospital, had to be stronger and happier because they were alone. Georgia had been crying for twenty-five days in a row but no-one, not even the nurses, were taking care of her so the only thing that she could do was cry.

On Christmas day, a new nurse called Jenny started working there. She was from Africa and she had a different skin colour, so they bullied her. When she saw Georgia, she thought that she was alone and she gave her a little doll with eyes made of buttons and a pink dress. Immediately, Georgia stopped crying. She thanked Jenny and she played with her doll.

Jenny didn’t know that after that, she was going to be in a big trouble because the other nurses hated Georgia. They thought that she was only a very sick girl with no feeling, only tears. Jenny got very angry because a girl with a health problem had needed her and the other nurses didn’t take care of her. The other nurses old Jenny that she was ugly and stupid and Jenny couldn’t tell them anything. So, she went to Georgia’s room and told her about her problem. Georgia was very glad that someone was taking care of her.

It was late that night when Jenny passed by Georgia’s room. She went to get on her bus, but she didn’t get on. In the hospital, Georgia cried again and she left her doll on the floor and slept. In the middle of the night, Jenny went into Georgia’s room and told her the situation. Georgia slept immediately, calm that she has someone in her life who cared.

Christmas day came, and Georgia wrote a letter to Sanda Claus. She wrote:

"Dear Sanda Claus, for this Christmas, I want only health. Nothing else…. and if you can, I want I want to see my parents. For one last time

Next day, on the first of January, Jenny went into Georgia’s room but Georgia had died. Jenny read her letter and cried. After that, none of the sick children felt alone again.Σχετική εικόνα

I will never Christmas last year.

One Christmas day,we ate turkey and all my family opened their gifts.

Later we left from Aegina to go to Ioannina. It was very beutiful town,

beutifully decorated. We arrived at the hotel and next, we went for a walk.

It was too cold!

Ιn the morning we got up. I looked out the window and it was all white.

We dressed quickly with my brother and my sister and we went out to play with snow.

I'm looking forward to Christmas and everything going so perfectly again!
