In 1895, the Hendriks family was eating turkey at the Christmas table. At midnight, they had to exchange gifts. First, the grandfather gave a present to John Hendriks, his grandson and the gift was very beautiful. It was a little doll that looked just like him.

In the morning, John went to play with his doll but he couldn't find it. After two hours, his mum told him that in the night, someone went to his house and broke a window. He hadn't stolen anything but the boy said to his mum that he lost his doll. He thought he'd left it on the cupboard that was under the broken window. Then, his mum told his grandfather, who said to her that this doll was very important because if someone stole it, he can control John. 

 His mum was scared and John couldn't always control himself after that. But after one year, they found the doll because the police had found the thief. He had been murdered and John's mum destroyed the doll. But the only thing that she didn't know was who the thief had been and how did he know about the doll……
