A Christmas story by Fotini D1

It was Christmas Eve and the snow was just starting to fall. Rosie was looking at it while she was talking on the phone with her friend, Lisa. She had already returned to her family in Melbourne.

L: Some relatives are going to visit us tomorrow. How will you spend Christmas day?
R:Well, I'm going to stay with my parents and my sister for lunch and in the evening, my sister and I are going to visit some friends.
L:Nice! …Ok, Rosie, I need to leave you now. Talk later!
R: Talk later!

It was getting dark. Her sister was at her best friend’s and her parents were at her aunt and her uncle’s. She decided to go for a walk so she left a note on the kitchen counter:"I AM GOING FOR A WALK TO THE OLD PARK". When she was a child, she played there with her friends but now, it was an old, unfrequented park. She had so many beautiful memories of this park. She sat on a bench and while she was thinking, she saw an old man staring at her. He reminded her of someone. He was self-same as her grandfather, who was dead. She freaked out! She closed her eyes and when she opened them again, the old man had left. Two minutes later, she saw a 13 year-old girl looking at her.She was same as her friend, Jennie, who had died in a car accident.

"They cannot be them! What is happening to me?!",she shouted.

It was 6:00 am. Her sister, Alice, was heading to the old park, where her sister had been last night. Her parents had come back and gone to bed early that night, so they hadn't worried about Rosie. But Alice had been  waiting for her and when she didn't come back, she decided to go and find her.

When she arrived, she saw her sister sleeping on a bench.
"Rosié! Rosié!" Rosé woke up.

R: Where am I?
A:In the old park. Why did you sleep there?
R:I came for a walk and I fell asleep.
A:Let's go back  home before our parents wake up.

Rosé was thinking about last night. She didn't tell anything to Alice. What had it been? She didn't  believe in ghosts. Was it just a nightmare? Maybe hallucinations? She didn't know.

The different christmas/Essay/Elli Tsirogianni

This year is really different from the previous ones.A new virus has been discovered. It is called covid-19.This virus is really dangerous and can even cause death.

More and more people are getting infected every day. That is why all of the world has been in a lockdown due to quarantine.Because of this lockdown, people can't meet  each other and they have to stay in their homes.

Christmas  came.It is common that every Christmas people are all around the streets buying presents and candies. This year the streets are empty.People are in their houses and almost no one is outside. It is said that every Christmas families meet  each other and have fun. This year, every family has to celebrate Christmas by their own…

Covid-19 has became a part of our lifes. It has destroyed lots of celebrations. It has brought sadness to people. This Christmas will never be forgotten…

Christmas 2020

This year has been difficult for everyone and we have done many things differently but we never excepted Christmas being this different. We were all hoping we would have a meal with all of our family just like every year instead of only having a meal with our parents and our siblings. Hopefully next year everything will get back to normal and we'll be able to see our family and our friends again. Merry Christmas and happy new year, hopefully without covid-19!

Christmas is a holiday, celebrated since 336 AD across the world with great brilliance on the December of 25th . It is usually celebrated with opening presents in the morning. After that, all family members gather around the Christmas table, saying a prayer and then usually eating roasted potatoes, stuffing and a turkey.

Covid-19 has affected the whole world and it has been stressful for everyone. Not only that, but, celebrations in general have been really different this year. For example, we can’t have all family members together because the number of people is limited. Many families couldn’t buy gifts for their children, even for themselves, due the pandemic that is going on. Due to the pandemic also, many people around the world couldn’t even celebrate Christmas normally because they have lost their jobs and even their houses.

I wish that everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year. I hope we won’t have to struggle anymore with the things that are going on lately and last but not least, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

The most amazing Christmas of ever

It was Christmas Eve and a family went to their cottage to celebrate Christmas. When they arrived the two kids went to play in the garden.Saddenly they saw Santa Claus with his seld.Right away they went to tell it at their parents but they didn't  believe them. After the dinner the to kids went to sleep.During the night their dogs listened a strange sound and they went to saw what was that. They saw Santa Claus who had an accident.Right away they went to wake up the two kids. When they woke up they followed the dogs and they saw Santa Close. First they wore warm clothes and then they went to help him. When they arrived Santa Clause told them about his accident. Finally they  repaired his seld but it was and another problem, all the presents of his bag lost in the snow. Then all together went to find them. After a hard work finally they found all the presents.Santa Claus thanked them and he continued his travel and the the two kids came back to their house. The other morning they ran under their Christmas tree and they saw that Santa Close brought them their presents. They're parents saw that they were very happy. But they weren't happy about their presents. They were happy because they did a very good thing.

A Christmas Story by Stelios D1,NEON Aegina

It was Christmas Eve and the snow was just starting to fall. I was with my family in my house and we were watching TV.

My brother and I were just waiting for it to stop snowing, so we could go out to play in the snow, because in Aegina,

every five years, it snows.  After two hours, the snow stopped and we went out to play with it. My cousins came

out too, and we all started playing snowfight. Then we made small snowballs, we dragged the snow to make

a snowman and it was getting bigger. Later, after the snow had stopped, my family and I took the car and

went to Oros mountain, because we wanted to see Aegina covered with snow. This was one of my best

Christmas day and I am not going to forget it.

The Boy Who Believed in Santa….

It was Christmas Eve and as the snow was  starting to fall. Michael and his family were having dinner, when someone knocked on the door. Michael ran and opened it, but there was no one, only a small letter. The letter was for Michael because it had his name on it. When he went back inside, he told them what he’d found. His parents thought ,that maybe, one of his relatives gave it to him, so they let him read it alone. Michael went to his room and started reading it. The letter was saying that they knew he didn't believe in Santa, so they wanted to take him on a journey tonight to see Santa and believe in him. He thought, that one of his friends wanted to prank him, so he didn't believe it.

Later that night, Michael went to his bed and slept. After 2 hours of sleep. a noise woke up  Michael. The noise was coming from a train outside his house. He went outside and he remembered the letter. He asked the captain of the train, why they were there. The captain said, that they were there to take Michael to Santa Claus. Then,  the captain asked Michael, if he was going or he was staying. First, Michael said that he wasn't going, but then he changed his mind. He got onto the train and he saw other children. Michael spent a great time on the train because he made new friends. They played board games and after that they had lunch. After the food, they drank hot chocolate with marshmallows. The journey lasted one night. Finally, they arrived at Santa Claus’ Factory. They saw elves working and preparing the presents for the children. Suddenly, Santa appeared and told them a story about the children who didn't believe in Santa Claus. When he finished telling the story,  the children believed in Santa. After that, they took their presents and they left. When Michael got home a strange noise heard and Michael woke up. He thought, it was all a dream, but when he went outside he saw Santa on Sky saying'' Ho ,ho ,ho Merry Christmas''. After that, he believed in Santa.

A CHRISTMAS STORY BY JIM G. TRIKALA

It was Christmas night. We had already decorated the house and we had a big meal. There was me and my whole family there. We had a big variety with lots of food. It was included a roast turkey with a lot of potatoes and a tzatziki salad. My grandma is an amazing cooker, so she decided to make the dessert. It was a special cake. Into this cake there were chocolate, a bit orange and vanilla. The food was really tasty.  After the meal me and my brother started playing together lots of games in my room. The adults started a conversation in the living room.
Unfortunately something happened. While we were getting fun, suddenly, all the lights switched off. Everywhere that I looked, I could see only dark. I used my flash light to manage to go to the living room. I asked my parents what happened, but they did not know. Then I went back to my room to find my brother, but I could not find him. When I found him in the kitchen, I took him to the living room so, we could be all together. My mum told me that the problem was a power outage. That’s why the lights were off.  We called an expert electrician to fix the problem, but he couldn’t come because he did not work at Christmas day. He said that he could come tomorrow. So, all the guests finally had to go to their houses.
I was sad because this meeting had a bad end, but I’m happy because we met all together, another day during Christmas Holiday.

Love Never Fades by Spyros D1 NEON Aegina

LOVE NEVER FADES

She was curious when she looked at the present under the tree – who was it from? It was just like the one last year and the year before that:  red and gold with a gold bow, Molly’s favourite colours. But this time, it was different: there was a note.

Molly woke up in her room. It was quite and dark. She looked at the clock on the wall. The time was 6:00 a.m. Usually, she would go back to sleep if she woke up this early. But today was Christmas Day! There was a rule that they couldn’t open there presents until everyone was up. So, she just stayed in bed and remembered yesterday. The whole family: her brother, her dad and herself, had had dinner together. Today, they would go to Uncle Roger’s house and eat with their family. But Dad always liked to have a small dinner on Christmas Day with just themselves. She remembered what he had said.

“Tomorrow, we’ll go to the family dinner again.” He started when we were all sitting at the table. “I have even prepared a speech about Emily.” He said, surprising both of us.

“Dad you don’t have to do this” My brother told him.

“No son, I can’t stop you from seeing the family again.  Plus, I miss them too” Dad said. He hadn’t let us go to the family dinner ever since mum died.

Emily had been a very nice woman, beautiful and charming. It was like you simply couldn’t be sad near her. It was as if her very existence was too joyful to let you feel anything but happiness. She had died in a car accident on Christmas Eve.

Molly had gone to the living room to wait for Mark and Dad. Dad woke up first and begun on some chores. When Mark got up, they could finally open their presents. And there it was the phantom present that was there every year. It was always a small gift, a toy, Or some small treat and it was always strangely warm. She flipped the note to read it and what it said was wonderful, doubtful and terrifying.

Christmas Story by Helen Chrysochoou D2, Neon Aegina

It was Christmas Eve and as the snow was just starting to fall. Elizabeth and her brother Jack ,were excited because snow was something unusual for their country. Without wasting much time, they made hot chocolate and sat down to watch it. They were so happy.

While they were drinking their hot drink, they heard something, like bells.  After that, they stopped staring at the snow and started looking into their house. They didn’t find anything, that could help them. A couple minutes later, the siblings went back inside.

They saw a note under Jack’s cup. He read it out loud. He told his sister about it and they went out, waiting for Santa Claus. The note was from him! Outside, there was only the two of them, no one else. They counted until the New Year came. At that moment, Santa Claus wished them, ‘Happy New Year, Ho, Ho, Ho!’ and flew their presents to them! It was the best Christmas holidays for them!
